Fabrication Exhibition Folkestone 20th July- 1st August

The mermaids and seagulls girls invited me to join them in an exhibition …. please come and have a look!
I won’t be there as i am away in France at the time, but a few of my textiles and jewellry / bags and prints of my art dolls in card form will be there in

my stead… not many as i am still busy working on the sculptures and the new stitch picture…these pics are what will be there….

i have been doing some doodle sketching on the sewing machine….this is what happened … you are all and everything –
i will also be adding some of the jewellry to my etsy shop.
so if you  are near to Folkestone at the end of july ….pop in! You will be very welcome and there will be some extremely delicious goodies definately worth seeing / buying by the other very talented and lovely girls!

Still busy working away on the art doll duo’s accessories…

I am still making the accessories but here is a quick look at what I have been doing…it may explain why the man is standing in a strange position… it is all made from recycling bits of junk and unwanted things …

a tiny tambourine, pipework, funnel and the beginnings of a drum…

a close up of the tambourine

and pipework.

working on two drums…

small drum

big drum

adding cymbals to the pipework… and making sure they clash when string pulled

trying the drum on for size …

he seems pleased! He is wearing a harmonica in a holder around his neck.

working on the stand…

the little girl trying out the stand…still lots to do on it …

adding the cymbals and tambourine…

making the drum sticks which will bash the big drum, single cymbal and tambourine.

and a strange trumpet-like instrument which he will be holding in his hands…

still got lots to do … but I will keep adding the pictures as I go…

… meanwhile she’s patiently waiting for her accessory!

Two New Stitch Pictures

I have taken a time out from making tiny weapons for the latest art doll and thrown myself back into the stitches…these two new pieces appeared…

There is no such thing as ‘too many shoes ‘!    SOLD
Textiles, free hand machine stitching, hand sewing, bead work …in a white frame … 21 x 17 inches.

You drive me cuckoo!
Textiles, free hand machine sewing, hand sewing, bead work…in a white frame… 17 x 21 inches.
This is probably due to far too many hours sat making tiny arrows and going slowly mad with their fiddlieness! It is a textiles version of my pen and ink drawing – You make me cuckoo!
